LAura matson
Laura Matson was born and raised in the Sonoran desert of Phoenix, Arizona. She grew up playing video games with her older brother Neil. This eventually lead to her love of all things pop-culture. From a young age Laura has been pushing around pigment on paper for as long as she can remember. Her artistic process started with the basics, and evolved into colored pencils, acrylic, watercolor, computer drawn illustration and modeling, welding, and eventually oil on canvas. Laura graduated in the Spring of 2015 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting at the Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts. She regularly attends comic book, video game, and anime conventions, and collects action figures as a hobby. She hopes to bring her passion of all things nerdy to inspire others that life can be extraordinary like the stories we watch, read, and play.
